decorate your office for the best feel and look

Home office inspiration: How to decorate your work space?

In the 21st century, everyone needs a little bit of privacy and a place just for themselves in their home. A lot of people today work from home whether they are freelancers or business owners.  To help you get out all your ideas, knowledge and creativity, you have to have a little shelter in your home just for you to sit down and be productive. There are a couple of great office ideas you can easily get inspiration from and copy them into your own home office space. It doesn't matter if you have place only for a small desk or you have the whole room to decorate and organize as an office. You can place your office in the corner of the kitchen, living room or in the bedroom. Some people even use their basement, attic or closet for providing themselves a quiet place to work. This is also a great idea for everyone with a smaller house or bigger family.

The best advice for starting to decorate your office space is to look for a spot in your house near the window. It is really useful having a natural lightning while working. Put your desk near the window and choose a comfortable chair – especially if you are going to sit there for a couple of hours every day.

The next idea is to decide what kind of design are you going for – modern, classic, rustic... Choose colors you like the most and start decorating. Give your wall a fresh coat of paint and put some inspiring quotes and prints on the wall. Having motivational quotes around you will help you to maximize your productivity in the office.

You will need a place to put all your papers and documents. Find an office desk with drawers or play with the shelves on the wall to use them as an additional storage space. The office desk essentials are mostly a pen holder, calendar, desk lamp and, of course, computer or laptop. For days when you have a lot of work, pin board could be very helpful. Write down everything that needs to be done and just pin in on the board.

Add an extra sofa, chair or couch for the meetings and clients that come over. If you're going to have clients come over on a daily bases, it could be practical to have a minibar and a coffee machine in your office. That will save your time since you won't need to go to the kitchen for a cup of coffee or water.

It is also well-known that having a greenery in your workspace brings a lot of benefits. Plants can help to remove the toxins from the air. Also, having a plant on your desk can reduce stress and sickness. Choose plants depending on the availability of daylight in your office, and how often will you be able to water them.

Those are just some ideas you can copy or get inspired by. The key to successful home working space is to decorate it in your own way, choosing colors, designs and furniture that works for you. It is important for you to feel comfortable working in your home office even if you only have a small desk in the corner of your living room.
